If you can't swim, don't go out in a boat without putting on a life preserver. Our dive team was called to Elkland Twp, Sullivan County last night to retrieve the body of a 30 something year old man who couldn't swim, but was out on a huge pond with some friends.
There was some playing around, according to reports, and the one person who couldn't swim, drowned when the three flipped the boat. The two survivors both said that the victim nearly drowned them when they tried to help him.
Such an avoidable tragedy.

Thanks Todd, I keep reminding my son who will go out on a boat to go fishing and...the proverbial..."I can swim, Mom"
He can, but this time of the year is hypothermia season..not to speak of the issue of being tired keeping afloat after some time, depending on the range from shore.
How's the knee?
