I am listening to a frog outside, in our ponds, as I write this. If it snows now, your theory is shot, Phil.
Oh, I have shorts on, too!

Big storms firing again tonight. Hopefully nothing too big. The ArkLaTex area is in store for a rough evening again.

We got pelted with one heck of a hail storm, about the size of half dollars. My truck has pock marks. Time to call the insurance company.

I saw that on radar. Real nasty storm just north of Williamsport right now. Lots more building to the west.

My pager has been going off about every 20 minutes since around 2 pm this afternoon. It has been everything from severe thunderstorm watches to warnings including a flash flood warning for NW Lycoming and Sullivan Counties.
A lot of lightning here and one good downpour in Montgomery tonight but not much else. By the way the radar looks, it could be a long night.

I saw that on radar. Real nasty storm just north of Williamsport right now. Lots more building to the west. The real dark one with a kind of conical shape? I spotted that one from 180 as I approached the Carl E. Stotz Memorial Little League Bridge (wow, that's a lot to type - I think I'll just continue to call it Market St. after they rename it) in that time frame. That sucker looked wicked and I was glad to see that it seemed to be staying North of the river since I was going South.

By the way, Phil. I now have four frogs in the ponds. And each one of them likes to make their croaking sound....ALL NIGHT LONG!!!!!
I'm hoping a bird finds them when they are out on the stones.

The frogs were right, they didn’t get snowed upon.

Meteorologist Joe Bastardi says that the pattern is for the cold air to the north to try to make a comeback. So long as the cold air continues to fight, there will be more severe weather outbreaks of the magnitude the battle zone areas have been seeing.
He even predicts some snow for the mountains of PA in the near future, although our local forecast does not reflect that thinking.

Wild weather lately, that's for sure. We went to Williamsport tonight to get our twins cell phones for their birthday. (God, kill me now)
I can honestly say that I don't ever remember seeing the river as high up on the dike as it was earlier tonight. You can barely tell where the Hepburn street dam is right now.
