Here's my rebuttal to Chuck's letter:
Mr. Reeder attempts to offer an answer my question about the moral justification for government forcibly taking one’s property and distributing it to someone else by offering a liberal interpretation of parts of the Constitution. The answer to my question would be the underlying moral justification for these liberal interpretations, not the interpretations themselves.
Since this is the second erroneous attempt at answering my question, one must conclude those on the left either misunderstand the meaning of moral justification or cannot answer the question without disclosing that the only place the morality of forcibly taking one persons property and distributing it to someone else can be found is in Marxist/socialist writings.
It’s doubtful that they will admit that to themselves, let alone anyone else.

My answer to today's Chucky LTE:
Again Mr. Reeder demonstrates he fails to understand that the Constitution is a document based upon the morality expressed in enlightenment philosophical writings. In itself it isn’t a document of morality, it’s a document detailing the supreme laws of the United States.
Morality springs from various philosophical and religious writings. Mr. Reeder claims that I said the left has no morals; quite the contrary, I said that the left bases their morality upon the writings of Marxist/socialist philosophy.

CMReeder calls his most recent letter "satire." Apparently he is unable to distinguish between quality writing, laced with irony and wit, versus sarcastic tripe.

That’s an accurate assessment INMHO.

Hey Phil, I hope I don't get excommunicated from this board because I challenge your thoughts on the SG Actually, it's been fun..... I do think Todd has the right thinking on this though....he isn't even bothering and he is right...no matter what is said, it ends up being a debate between the libs themselves or a veracious attack on a conservative in any respect. They can't debate with decency, they have to get vicious...

That’s what prompted us to post the letters here.
You can disagree with me anytime. I’ll do the same. That’s what debating is all about.
